Parent Resource Page
On this page you will find helpful tips, tools, and articles for parents on raising children in the Digital Age. It will be updated periodically, so check back to see what's new. Parents of Calvary Lutheran School students will also receive regular email updates about activities in the computer classroom. This will include information on new content added to this page.
The Common Sense Media Topic Center contains several articles on helping your children make right choices in their use of technology. Topics covered include Screen Time, Cyberbullying, Privacy and Internet Safety, and Social Media. This is the same site we use in class for our digital citizenship curriculum and I have been very impressed with the material they have created.
Commons Sense Media also provides a great resource of Digital Literacy and Citizenship Family Tip Sheets. Many are tied to the lessons we present in class, but you can also find the full list below.

Keyboard Practice Site
Typing Web is a free, online typing tutorial we are using to help students develop their keyboarding skills. With more technology being used in our classrooms, keyboarding speed is going to be an essential skill for students to complete their homework in a timely manner. Clicking on the logo below will bring you to the tutorial site we are using. Every student has a username and password to log in and practice.
