Microsoft Publisher is a fun program to use when making more creative writing projects. To go along with the State-In-A-Bag Project you are doing for Mrs. Huntington, for the next few classes we will be working on making your own small magazines about your state. You can use your internet research answer to help you with your magazine.
Follow these steps:
From your U: drive open "State Magazine" file. On some of the pages you will see blue boxes and sample text. These are just for reminders of where to put everything and can be replaced.
Remember to save your work frequently using the same name.
Go to page 1. This will be the cover of your magazine.
Include the following items on your cover page: - Where you see the top blue box, use word art to make a large and creative title for your magazine - In the bottom blue box put your name on the front cover. - Find 1 picture to place on your cover that illustrates what your magazine is about. You can place it about where the middle blue box is and remove the blue box.
Each of the next two pages will have a top half and a bottom half. Follow these steps for each half page:

Clicking on the logo below will bring you to the tutorial site we are using. Students can log in and practice there.
Spare Time Activities When you are completely finished with an assignment before the end of class, you are allowed to work on an approved activity will waiting for your classmates. The first choice is always to work on homework from other classes or reading for AR. If you do not have that available, you can use one of the links below.
